وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن أعراض الإيدز الأولية تظهر عادة بعد مدة تتراوح ما بين أسبوعين إلى ستة أسابيع من الإصابة بالفيروس، كما أن هناك أشخاص يصابون بفيروس نقص المناعة، ولا تظهر عليهم أعراض الفيروس لمدة قد تمتد إلى عدة أشهر أو سنوات، أما في حالة ظهور أعراض الفيروس، فيجب على الأشخاص في هذه الحالة إجراء التحاليل الطبية اللازمة للبدء في اتخاذ الإجراءات الطبية اللازمة للتخلص من الفيروس والحد من انتشار الفيروس في الجسم.
أعراض مرض الإيدز
بعد المرحلة من الإصابة بالعدوى يبدأ فيروس نقص المناعة في الانتشار والتكاثر في الجسم بشكل منخفض، وفي حالة عدم تلقي أي علاجات للفيروس في المرحلة الأولى فإن الفيروس سيتطور إلى مرض الإيدز لمدة سنوات، في ذلك الوقت سيضعف الجهاز المناعي ويصبح غير قادر على مواجهة الفطريات والفيروسات والجراثيم، وبالتالي سيصبح الجسم غير قادر على مقاومة الإصابة بالعدوى.

متى تختفي أعراض الإيدز
بعد ظهور أعراض الإيدز في المرحلة الأولى واختفاء هذه الأعراض، يبدأ الفيروس في هذه المرحلة في الانتقال إلى مرحلة تسمى العدوى الكامنة سريريًا، في هذه المرحلة تتراجع أعراض الإصابة بالفيروس، يبدأ الفيروس في هذه المرحلة في الدخول إلى مرحلة الخمول، مرحلة الخمول تستمر إلى فترة زمنية تفوق ال10 سنوات، وهذا لا يعني الشفاء من الفيروس، أو عدم انتقاله إلى الآخر بالممارسة، إذا وصل الفيروس إلى هذه المرحلة يمكن القول أن الفيروس وصل لمرحلة الإيدز، ولكن ما هي الأعراض التي تشير إلى وصول الفيروس إلى مرحلة الخمول، هذا ما سوف نعرفه في السطور التالية.
