استخدامات أخرى لمعجون الأسنان لا يعرفها العامة
معجون الأسنان هو تركيبة كميائية لتنظيف الأسنان عن طريق الفرشاة، وهي معروفة منذ زمن بعيد، ومع مرور الأيام والسنين تطورت صناعتها.
وعلى حسب الروايات التاريخية فإن أقدم محاولة معروفة لتصنيع المعجون كانت في مصر، في القرن الرابع الميلادي، حيث كان ذلك الخليط مكونا من مطحون، فلقل +أوراق نعناع+ زهور السوسن.

احتواء معجون الأسنان على مادة تريكلوسان (Triclosan)، التى تساعد على تنظيف البكتيريا التي تسبب الالتهابات والحبوب، ومن أبرز فوائد معجون الأسنان للوجه الآتي.
1-التخلص من الرؤوس والبقع السوداء.

3-التخلص من الحكة الناجمة عن لدغات الحشرات.
كما يساعد أيضا استخدام معجون الأسنان على التخلص من تلك الحكة الناجمة من الحشرات المزعجة التي توجد في المنازل، وذلك لاحتوائه على مادة حمض الأنك المضاد للالتهابات والمسكنة للألم، وذلك بحسب دراسات كمائية.
4-علاج حب الشباب
المواد والعقاقير والتركيبات الكميائية الموجودة في معجون الأسنان، مثل كربونات الكالسيوم والتي تعمل على امتصاص السموم والأوساخ والزيوت الزائدة التي يفرزها الجلد ما يؤدي إلى تقليل ظهور حب الشباب.
5-معالجة التجاعيد ا وخطوط التي تظهر في الوجه مع التقدم في السن.
ويساعد معجون الأسنان على محاربة التجاعيد والخطوط السوداء التي تظهر مع تقدم السن، وذلك لاحتوائه على عنصر الزنك الذي يعمل كمضاد للأكسدة، كما يحارب شيخوخة الخلايا الموجودة في الوجه، إضافة إلى أنه محارب جيّد للفيروسات التي من شأنها أن تهدد بشرتك.
6-علاج البشرة الدهنية.
ويساعد أيضا على علاج البشرة الدهنية حيث يقوم بامتصاص الزيوت التي يفرزها الجسم طبقًا لتعرضه للعوامل الجوية المختلفة.
7-لعلاج البثور دون ترك أثر
كما يقوم بتهدئة البثور وتصغيرها رويدا رويدا، ولا يترك أثرا مكانها على الإطلاق ولكن يفضل استخدام المعجون الأبيض لا الشفاف
8-إزالة خلايا الجلد الميتة وتجديدها
كما يحارب المعجون البكتيريا بإزالة خلايا الجلد الميته واستبدالها بخلاليا جديدة.

استخدام معجون الأسنان للأغراض السابقة ليس آمن بالقدر الكافي، لأن هذه الأوقات يصنع معجون الأسنان بطرق مختلفة كما تعتمد الشركات على مواد قد تكون مضرة للبشرة، مثل كبريتات لوريل الصوديوم التي تهدد صحة الحمض النووي في البشرة.
ولكن ما عليك إلا التأكد من عدم احتواء المعجون على هذه المادة أو أي مادة أخرى قد تضر بشرتك.
