إن فوائد القراصيا عديدة ومنها السيطرة على عملية التبول حيث يعاني العديد من الأشخاص من فرط حركة المتاثة والتبول المستمر وتناول القراصيا بكمية معتدلة تساعد على السيطرة على تلك المشكلة، كما أن القراصيا تحتوي على نسبة ممتازة من البوتاسيوم والذي يعمل على تنظيم ضغط الدم وتنظيم ضربات القلب والوقاية من الأمراض القلبية والحماية من الأمراض العصبية حيث تساعد القراصيا على تنظيم حركة العضلات من خلال انبساطها وانقباضها، تحتوي القراصيا على عدد ممتاز من الفيتامينات التي يحتاج إليها الجسم مثل فيتامين (ج) وفيتامين (أ) وفيتامين (ب6)، فضلاً عن احتواء القراصيا على المعادن مثل معدن المغنسيوم ومعدن النحاس وتحتوي على معدن البورون وذلك المعدن مهم للغاية للعناية بالعضلات وتقويتها والحماية من أمراض العظام المختلفة وتحمي من الإصابة بمرض هشاشة العظام.
القيمة الغذائية للقراصيا
إن كل مائة جرام من القراصيا تمد الجسم بجرام واحد من السكر وجرام من الألياف، ويتم إمداد الجسم 43 مل جرام من عنصر الكالسيوم، وتحتوي كل 100 جرام من القراصيا على بروتينات بنسبة 18 جرام، تمد الجسم أيضًا بكمية حديد ممتازة حيث تحتوي 100 جرام قراصيا على 9 مل جرام من عنصر الحديد اللازم للوقاية من فقر الدم، وبالنسبة للفيتامينات فإنها تمد الجسم ب 6 مل جرام من فيتامين (ج) و 2 مل جرام من فيتامين (ب6).
طريقة استخدام القراصيا للإمساك
يمكن بسهولة التخلص من الإمساك بتناول القراصيا لأنها تعمل على تحسين عملية الهضم ومكافحة الإمساك وذلك بفضل احتوائها على كمية عالية من الألياف وتستخدم القراصيا أيضًا لمكافحة الإمساك لدى الصغار الرضع ولدى كبار السن حيث إنها ملين طبيعي للأمعاء ويمكن استخدامها للتخلص من الإمساك المزمن وأيضًا من أجل الحماية من الإصابة بالبواسير ومن أجل استخدام القراصيا لمكافحة الإمساك سوف نحتاج إلى 5 حبات من القراصيا وكوب من الماء، حيث ننقع حبات القراصيا في الماء ونترك كوب الماء طوال الليل وفي الصباح يتم تناول ماء منقوع القراصيا على الريق وسوف نلاحظ الفرق عن أول استخدام.

إن القراصيا من المشروبات والمأكولات المحببة لدى الكثير من الأشخاص وشأنها شأن كل الأطعمة والمشروبات إذا زادت عن معدلها الطبيعي تم إصابة الجسم بالأمراض والتعب فيجب الاعتدال في تناول القراصيا ومن الأضرار التي تعود على الجسم من الإفراط في القراصيا الآتي:
- حدوث التهابات في القولون شديدة وقد يؤدي إلى الإصابة بالقولون التقرحي.
- لا بد من تناول الكثير من الماء إذا قمنا بتناول القراصيا بكميات كبيرة لأن دون ماء سوف يصاب الإنسان بالإمساك.
- الإفراط في تناول القراصيا يعمل على تكون عدد من الحصوات على الكليتين.
- شعور الإنسان بنفخة شديدة في البطن نتيجة الألياف الكثيرة والتي ذو نسبة عالية جدًا الموجودة في القراصيا.
- الإفراط في تناول القراصيا قد يصيب بعض الأشخاص بالإسهال.
