تتكون المملكة المتحدة من بريطانيا العظمى والجزء الشمالي من جزيرة أيرلندا، وهي دولة ذات سيادة تقع قبالة الساحل الشمالي الغربي لقارة أوروبا، وتعد أيرلندا الشمالية القسم الوحيد من المملكة ذا الحدود البرية التي تفصلها عن جمهورية أيرلندا.

ما الفرق بين بريطانيا وإنجلترا؟
بريطانيا هي جزيرة أو مجموعة جزر يطلق عليها الجزر البريطانية، وتنقسم مجموعة الجزر هذه إلى دول، وتعد إنجلترا واحدة من أكبر دول هذه الجزر مساحة، ضمن حدود بريطانيا في نطاقها وتحت سيطرتها.
والمملكة المتحدة هي مختصر للإسم الكامل “المملكة المتحدة لبريطانيا العظمي وأيرلندا الشمالية” وهي مملكة مكونة من عدة دول متحدة، اسكتلندا وانجلترا ويلز وأيرلندا الشمالية، وغيرها.

ملكة بريطانيا هي الملكة إليزابيث الثانية وتعتبر ملكة برييطانيا الملكة الدستورية لعدد16 دولة من 53 من دول الكومنولث التى تعملة كرئيسة لها.

تحكم الملكة إليزابيث الثانية العديد من الدول، وكلها دول متباعدة جغرافيًا لا تربطها صلة أو انطباع يوحي بذلك، مثل كندا بأمريكا الشمالية، جزر الباهاما بأمريكا الوسطى، جبل طارق بأسبانيا، أستراليا، وتسمى دول الكومونويلث.
الحرب العالمية الثانية وتأثيرها على المملكة المتحدة
البداية كانت مع الإمبراطورية البريطانية والتي حكمت ربع مساحة الأرض وثلث البشر تقريبا، لكن بعد الحرب العالمية الثانية أصبحت بريطانيا منهكة جدا، وكان واضحا أنها لن تعود مرة أخرى كقوة عظمى تشترك في تقسيم العالم مع فرنسا، بعد أفكار الاستقلال والتحرر التي طالبت بها الدول ذات السيادة الأضعف.
لكن قبل منح الاستقلال الكامل لهذه الدول، وضعت بريطانيا شرطًا لتراجعها وتقلص حدودها في نطاق الجزيرة، التي تضم مساحتها الأصلية، وهو أن تظل الملكة على رأس هذه الدول، تشترك في شخص واحد يحكمها ونجد صورته في عملة هذه البلاد، وهو ما لن يعجب الجميع، وبعد فترة شعرت الدول فيما يخص هذه الجزئية أنها يجب أن تلغي هذا الارتباط الملكي.
ظل هذا الوضع، إلى أن وصلت عدد الدول 16 دولة محكومة من قبل الملكة، ضمن مجموعة الكومنولث، وعلى رأس هذه الدول بريطانيا بالإضافة إلى كندا وأستراليا.
ما هي دول التاج البريطاني
وتعتبر الملكة جاليا على رأس 15 دولة، من أصل 32 في السابق قبل استقلال هذه الدول، وذلك على مدى 69 عاما من توليها العرش.

- وبهاماس
