- يمكن تقديم شوربة العدس العادية مع القليل من الخبز المحمص وإضافة الجرجير والبصل الأخضر إليها حتى تصبح ذات مظهر شهي.

المكونات
- 3/4 كوب ( 120 جم) بصل مفروم.
- 3 فصوص من الثوم المفروم.
- 1/3 كوب جزر مقطع والتي تعادل 4 جزر صغيرة أو 1 جزر متوسط.
- نصف ملعقة صغيرة من الكمون مطحون.
- نصف ملعقة صغيرة من الفلفل الأحمر.
- نصف ملعقة صغيرة من الزعتر المجفف.
- ربع ملعقة صغيرة من الفلفل الأسود.
- ربع ملعقة صغيرة من رقائق الفلفل الأحمر.
- عدد (1) طمطمه مقطعة لشرائح..
- ملعقة واحدة كبيرة من صلصة الطماطم أو الكاتشب
- ملعقة واحدة كبيرة من أوراق النعناع الطازجة المفرومة، أو نصف ملعقة صغيرة من النعناع المجفف.
- نصف كوب ( 90 جم ) من العدس الأحمر.
- عدد (2.5) كوب من الماء أو المرق النباتي.
- 3 ملاعق صغيرة من الملح.
- رقائق الفلفل الأحمر بالنعناع وعصير الليمون وزيت الزيتون للتزيين.

طريقة التحضير
- يسخن الزيت في وعاء على نار متوسطة، ويضاف إليه البصل والثوم وقليل من الملح ويطهى حتى يصبح شفافا، وذلك في مدة قدرها خمسة دقائق.
- نضيف الجزر والبهارات ونمزجهما جيداً، كما يمكنك أيضًا إضافة قليل من القرفة للتنوع.
- نضيف الطماطم وصلصة الطماطم والنعناع ونخلطهما جيدًا لمدة دقيقتين، ويمكنك إضافة بعض الخضروات خلال هذه المرحلة.
- يضاف العدس الأحمر والماء والملح ويتم خلطهما جيدًا، ويُغطّى ويُطهى جزئيًا لمدة 15 دقيقة، مع تخفيف درجة الحرارة إلى متوسطة منخفضة، ونتركه يستمر في الغليان لبضع دقائق أخرى حتى يصبح العدس رقيقًا، مع التذوق وضبط الملح والتوابل، وإضافة المزيد من الماء إذا لزم الأمر.
- يتم تبريد شوربة العدس قليلاً ويمزج داخل خلاط كهربائي (بعناية)، وهنا يصبح جاهزًا لتناوله حيث يُقدّم في أوعية مع رقائق الفلفل المُزيّنة وعصير الليمون وبضع قطرات من زيت الزيتون والنعناع الطازج المفروم إذا لزم الأمر، أو تقديمه مع خبز محمص أو خبز عادي أو سلطات مختلفة.

- يتم غسل العدس الأحمر وينقع في الماء لمدة ساعة.

- ندع الضاغط يستقر ثم نفتح الغطاء، ونضبط المذاق والملح ونضف بعض الماء الساخن إذا لزم الأمر.
- يجب أن تكون شوربة العدس شبه سميك.
- يُزيّن الطبق بالكثير من أوراق الكزبرة ويُرش القليل من رقائق الفلفل الحار.
- نعصر عليه القليل من عصير الليمون قبل التقديم.

المكونات
- 1ملعقة كبيرة زيت الزيتون.
- 1 بصلة بيضاء متوسطة الحجم مفرومة وناعمة.
- 1 ساق كرفس مفروم وناعم.
- 2 فص ثوم مفروم.
- حفنة صغيرة من الكزبرة.
- 1 ملعقة صغيرة من الكمون المطحون.
- ربع ملعقة صغيرة من رقائق الفلفل الأحمر المجفف.
- 3 جزرات ذو حجم كبير، ويتم تقشيرهم وفرمهم جيدًا.
- 500 جرام من الطماطم المفرومة.
- 4 أكواب من مرقة الخضار.
- 100 جرام من العدس الأحمر.
- 1ملعقة صغيرة من الملح
- ربع ملعقة صغيرة فلفل أسود مطحون.
