قبل أن نتعرف على عيوب ومزايا خشب mdf من حيث الاستخدام، دعنا نعرف أولا أنه من أنواع الخشب المعاد تصنيعه من بقايا الكرتون والأخشاب، حيث تتم معالجته صناعيا، بالإضافة إلى كبسه تحت ضغط ودرجة حرارة مناسبين لتشكيل الألواح.

ما هو خشب الـ MDF؟
- يتم تصنيع الألواح الليفية متوسطة الكثافة (MDF) بمجموعة متنوعة من الخصائص الفيزيائية والأبعاد،فيمكن قطعها وثنيها حسب مواصفات المنتج المطلوبة.
- ألواح MDF عبارة عن منتج مركب تم إنتاجه من بقايا و رقائق أنواع مختلفة من الخشب، ويتكون عادة من ألياف السيليلوز المدمجة مع راتنج صناعي (مواد لزجة تتحول إلى بوليمرات صلبة بعملية المعالجة).
- وهي معالجة معقدة ودقيقة تسمح بانصهار الحرارة والضغط معا لتشكل المنتج النهائي المطلوب.
- ويمكن إدخال مواد أخرى أثناء التصنيع لإضفاء خصائص معينة، مثل السطح الأملس، والكثافة، استواء اللوح وتجانسه، وخلوه من الأنماط التي تفسد مظهره الجمالي.
- ورغم كونه صناعيا لكنه مثالي للمطابخ؛ لأنه مقاوم للرطوبة.
هل خشب MDF جيد لغرف النوم؟
- إمكانية تشكيل لوح الخشب لعمل الترابيزات والمناضد ويتم أيضا تغليف به أثاث المنزل و الجدران، حيث أن السطح مستوي ويسهل النقش عليه.
- من أهم ما يميز ألواح mdf أيضا أسعاره الاقتصادية الملائمة لكل الطبقات، فهو أرخص للأثاث.
- مرونة و سهولة استخدامه: فهو خفيف وسهل النقل مما يجعله مفضل لأغراض كثيرة لأن المقاسات تتشكل بكل سهولة، لذلك يفضل تجار الموبليات التعامل به لهذه الأسباب.
- تتتوفر منه درجات كثيرة، تناسب تقريبا جميع الأذواق.
عيوب خشب MDF ؟
من أبرز عيوب ألواح خشب mdf:
- عدم مقاومته للماء، فنرى أنه يتعرض لامتصاص الماء، مما يجعل الألواح تنتفخ.
- غير ذلك، فالعمر الافتراضي لا يتجاوز 4 سنوات، ثم يبدأ في التشقق والانكسار.
- ونستنتج من ذلك أيضا أن الخشب لا يتحمل الضغط.
- خشب بهذه المواصفات لا يكون من السهل إصلاحه، ويتوقف هذا على كثافة اللوح أيضا.
- المواد التي تدخل في صناعته ليس صحية.
من أفضل خشب MDF او HDF؟
كلا النوعين يضاف إليهما مادة كيميائية معينة لتعزيز الجودة والصلابة، ولكن هناك فرق بين نوضحه فيما يلي:
خشب mdf
يطلق اختصارا على الإسم العلمي (Medium Density Fiberboard) ويوصف بأنه ذو جودة أقل من (hdf) نتيجة زيادة المادة الكيميائية في مقابل انخفاض كثافة الخشب الطبيعي.
ويكون سعره أقل كثيرا من باقي الأنواع الموجودة في السوق.

ويعرف علميا بإسم (High Density Fiberboard) ويتيمز عن نظيره بجودة أعلى نسبيا، نظرا لكثافة الخشب الطبيعي المستخدمة في صناعته، وإخراجه على هذا النحو مع تقليل المواد الكيميائية.
